Man Overboard Alarm AISLink sends your GPS co-ordinates to other AIS equipped vessels in the vicinity to alert them that you require assistance. At the push of a button SOS distress signals will be sent to vessels up to 5 miles away from your location. The DSC alarm on your vessel’s VHF can also be signaled.
AISLink automatically activates upon inflation of your lifejacket sending an alert within 15 seconds to all AIS receivers and plotters in the vicinity. Once SOS is initiated the device will continue to transmit your location for a minimum of 24 hours.
Man Overboard Alarm Key Features:
Dual alert via AIS and DSC
The dual alert through AIS and DSC offers dual mode transmission of messages and repetition intervals. Find out more information in the ACR AISLink Fact Sheet.
The ACR AISlink can be activated manually, as well as automatically upon inflation of your life jacket. This integration is essential for peace of mind, that the device will activate and transmit your GPS co-ordinates when someone falls overboard.
Upon activation, the ACR AISLink MOB will alert AIS equipped vessels within a 5 mile radius of your location and send your GPS co-ordinates.
Operational and Battery Life
From the date of manufacture, the ACR AISLink has up to a 7 year battery life and will expire when activated. The operational battery life of the AISlink is over 24hours after activation.
This ACR MOB has an LED Strobe light, to enhance use at night.
Rugged and Waterproof
The AISLink is waterproof in up to 10 meters of water.
The ACR AISLink is ideal for a range of users including Coastal Cruising, Sailing, Offshore Recreational and Commercial Marine.
Note that most modern AIS plotters and DSC VHF units comply with the standards for receiving MOB transmissions. However, it is recommended that you check with your equipment manufacturer to ensure compatibility. DSC functionality may vary - or be disabled entirely - according to the regulations of individual countries.
