Thuraya Pre-Paid Satellite Airtime
The easiest and most flexible way to use your Thuraya satellite phone is with a pre-paid SIM card and pre-paid airtime vouchers. No monthly contract is required and pre-paid airtime can be used in any of the 140 countries in Thuraya's coverage zone. We offer two options for pre-paid airtime; Standard Pre-Paid and NOVA Pre-Paid:
Standard Pre-Paid
The Standard Pre-Paid plan offers simplicity and transparency with flat pricing across the Thuraya coverage area. SIM cards are valid for 12 months and can be extended by adding pre-paid airtime vouchers.

NOVA Pre-PaidNOVA Pre-Paid is a prepaid price plan that features reduced per minute rates from select countries in Asia, Africa, and Europe. The NOVA card will automatically switch between two different call rates depending on the geographic location of the caller. A premium rate is charged to territories outside of Nova countries. SIM cards are valid for 24 months and can be extended by adding pre-paid airtime vouchers.

Terms & Conditions: Standard SIM- First call must be made within 6 months. The SIM is then valid for one month after the first call (if no prepaid airtime has been added). Prepaid units raise the credit on the account.
- Thuraya PREPAY plan has a validity of one year from first call.
- Annual Renewal Fee: $39.00
- Annual renewal fee is waived for heavy users (over $1500 of satellite calls per year).
- Upon expiry, account balance is reset to zero and the account enters the 90-day grace period (Incoming calls are still possible).
- If account is not refilled within the grace period, it will be deactivated and the number will be lost.
Terms & Conditions: NOVA SIM- First call must be made within 6 months. The SIM is then valid for one month after the first call (if no prepaid airtime has been added). Prepaid units raise the credit on the account.
- The Thuraya NOVA SIM has an initial validity of two (2) years from first call.
- Renewal Fee: $10.00 (for 2 years)
- If the account balance is below $10 at the renewal time, the account enters the 90-day grace period (Incoming calls are still possible).
- If the account is refilled within the grace period, the existing balance will be restored.
If the account is NOT refilled within the grace period, the entire unused balance will be reset to zero and the account will be permanently deactivated.
