SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger User Guide
The SPOT basic service plan has an annual fee of £99.00 per year and includes the following features:
"SOS" : For use in the event of a life threatening or other critical emergency - notify emergency services of your GPS location and that you need urgent assistance. The GEOS International Emergency Response Centre alerts the appropriate agencies such as local police, highway patrol, Coast Guard, or other emergency search and rescue teams. Once the SOS button is activated it will send a message every 5 minutes until cancelled or the batteries are depleted.
"Help" : For incidents where you need help but when you are not in a critical or life threatening situation you can use this function to notify your personal contacts that you need assistance. Once the Help button is pressed SPOT will send a message every 5 minutes until cancelled or the batteries are depleted to your personal contacts. They will receive an SMS including your coordinates or an email with a link to Google Maps showing your location.
"Check-in/OK" : If you just want to let your friends and family know that everything is OK the "Check-in" feature sends a pre-programmed message via email or SMS to your personal contacts and includes your GPS location. Your waypoint is also stored into your SPOT account for later reference. Your stored waypoints can be easily integrated into a SPOT Shared Page or SPOT Adventure account.
"Custom Message" : Similar to Check-in/OK but you get to store your own customised message on your SPOT account before you set off on your journey.
Additional Services:
The Track Progress feature allows you to continuously send and save your location so that friends and family can track your journey in near real time using Google Maps. Once the button is activated messages are automatically sent every 10 minutes for 24 hours or until cancelled. Creating a SPOT Shared Page allows you to share your journey progress in near real time on the web with friends and family - just give them the URL. This option is available at a cost of €39.00 per year.

Equipment is sent out with the latest firmware updates installed and all equipment comes with a 1 year warranty.
All products are disptached, once payment is received, for next day delivery within the UK and within 5 days for international deliveries. Once your order is dispatched you will receive a tracking number enabling you to follow delivery progress.
If you order a product which we do not have in stock we will notify you immediately. You may cancel your order or we will order the product in for you in which case we aim to deliver within 5 working days.
We are happy to accept returns on products within seven working days of delivery. Global Telesat Communications will not be liable for any postage and packaging costs incurred in returning your items.
